Connect-EA results presented at leading society meeting

Connect-EA Clinical Data Presented at Society of American Gastroenterologists and Endoscopic Surgeons 2026 Annual Meeting

March 27, 2026.  At the Annual Meeting of the Society of American Gastroenterologists and Endoscopic Surgeons held in Miami, Florida, Dr. Oliver Muenesterer of LMU Klinikum presented recent clinical data on the Connect-EA magnetic compression anastomosis system.

A precision-engineered system with a design informed by new models of neoepithelization and necrosis in the hollow viscera and vasculature arising from groundbreaking research carried out at the University of California at San Francisco and University of Mainz, Connect-EA is designed to bring about gradual anastomosis creation with no foreign body left behind.  Myka Labs was selected by UCSF to bring Connect-EA to market.

Results reported by Dr. Muensterer at SAGES included 100% rate of achieving full oral nutrition among patients who underwent anastomosis creation using Connect-EA.  None required post-anastomosis stenting.

Leading pediatric surgeons consider the favorable patient results seen in rapidly accumulating Connect-EA clinical evidence to be particularly remarkable given high rates of severe comorbidities, including single ventricle physiology and other severe cardiovascular comorbidities, among the Connect-EA cohort.
